CHIHUAHUA

The state of Chihuahua is located in the northern part of Mexico, and its capital has the same name of the state. Map of Mexico indicates that the state of Chihuahua is located between the geographical coordinates 25 ° 30 'and 31 ° 47' north of the Tropic of Cancer and 103 ° 18 'and 109 ° 07' west longitude from the prime meridian. The land area is formed with the state of Chihuahua is approx. of 247.087 square kilometers, which makes it one of the largest states in the country and is considered one of the most important states in Mexico.

Location
It has lakes and reservoirs and groundwater, which integrate the hydrography of that state. Bordered on the north by the states of Texas and New Mexico ( in the U.S.) , to the east by the states of Coahuila and Durango, continues south bordering the state of Durango and Sinaloa , the latter also bordered on the west and as Sonora and the United States . The state of Chihuahua was founded on July 6, 1824 and is the state that has more border with the United States , Chihuahua belongs to two physiographic provinces that divide the state into two parts , they are: the Basin and Range province in the east and the Sierra Madre Occidental to the east.

Geography and climate
The state of Chihuahua has three types of areas or ecosystems , which are: the Dust Bowl, the plains and the mountains or hilly. In other data , the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI ) reported that the results obtained from the population count conducted in 2010 in the state of Chihuahua, has a total population of 3,401,140 .

El estado de Chihuahua se localiza en la parte norte de la República Mexicana, y su capital tiene el mismo nombre del estado. El mapa de México señala que el estado de Chihuahua se encuentra ubicado entre las coordenadas geográficas 25° 30' y 31° 47' latitud norte del trópico de cáncer y 103° 18' y 109° 07' longitud oeste del meridiano de Greenwich. La extensión territorial con la que está formado el estado de Chihuahua es aprox. de 247,087 kilómetros cuadrados, lo cual lo convierte en uno de los estados más extensos del país y es considerado como uno de los estados más importantes de México.

Ubicación

Cuenta con lagunas y presas, así como aguas subterráneas, las cuales integran la hidrografía de dicho estado. Colinda al norte con los estados de Texas y Nuevo México (en los Estados Unidos), al este con los estados de Coahuila de Zaragoza y Durango, al sur continúa colindando con el estado de Durango y con Sinaloa, éste último también colinda al oeste así como con Sonora y los Estados Unidos. El estado de Chihuahua se fundó el 6 de julio de 1824 y es el estado que tiene más línea fronteriza con los Estados Unidos, Chihuahua pertenece a dos provincias fisiográficas que dividen al estado en dos partes, éstas son: la provincia de Cuencas y Sierras en la zona este y la Sierra Madre Occidental al este.

Geografía y clima

El estado de Chihuahua cuenta con tres tipos de zonas o ecosistemas, las cuales son: la zona desértica, la de las llanuras y la sierra o montañosa. En otros datos, el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) señaló que los resultados que se obtuvieron del conteo de población que realizó en el 2010 en el estado de Chihuahua, cuenta con una población total de 3,401,140.
